Reviews
We loved this bar. Despite being three gay men and a straight woman, we felt truly welcome.
The woman at the bar was huge fun and had a massive personality.
We put loads of camp classics on the juke box and the bar came alive (like to Dancing Queen).
Everyone who came in the bar was respectful that it was a lesbian bar.
The second I walked in I literally said, "This is home", and for the two nights that I went there on my trip it really was. Both the staff and the actual people that go really make you feel like you belong. Love it to the moon and stars! Ps: VIC YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!
My favorite bar from the ones I visited in New York. The decorations, the space, the fun and welcoming vibes, the people, the pop hits they were playing, the price of the drinks... everything was great and would love to come back if I visit New York again. A safe and fun place!
This is the first lesbian bar I’ve ever visited and I’m glad I went there with my friends! The decorations on the ceilings are cute there was a beanie with the word “Uhaul” which was hilarious. (I bet you all know about uhaul lesbian). However the place was way too small and crowded I really hope we can have a bigger place to dance or something
One of the best bars I have been to in NYC 🏳️🌈 We were there on a Monday afternoon and it was still buzzing and atmospheric as if it was a Friday or Saturday night. Deb on the bar was friendly, welcoming and hilarious, playing great tunes, drinking games and handing out free pizza! Super quirky and colourful decor inside. The happy hour is also great - $5 fizz! This bar is a must visit!!
will endure being ignored by the bartender for half an hour as long as the cute redhead by the touchtunes screen thinks i'm cute
This place could be fun but overall is awful due to the horrible service. Woman with dark hair and tattoos is the slowest bartender w/ a nasty attitude. Caters more to gay men than any women in the bar. Yelled at young girl in her 20’s for not tipping. Weird ambience and vibe. Not the ideal place to pick up women bc it’s swarming with gay men. Bartenders can be rude. I only come once a year to cubby but each time I come I get treated like an outsider. Don’t feel welcomed.
Came all the way from New Hampshire for one of Cubby Hole's first industry nights. Marissa was the best bartender I've encountered in 20 years. Friendly, attentive, great service skills, funny, and felt like I met a new best friend. Mondays at cubby hole are the place to be. Would drive 4 hours again to repeat the experience. 10/10
